How much does it cost to rent a frozen drink machine from Frozen Ice?

The rental price is $125 for a two-bowl machine and $100 for a single bowl machine for the day. This price includes delivery for all of Harris County, set up, pick up, one free mix (makes at least 3 gallons) concentrate, to get the party started and a cart for the machine to sit on.  Our special weekend package allows for delivery on Friday and pick up on Sunday for only $150.

How many drinks does one batch make?

Following is a breakdown of the approximate number of frozen drinks needed to successfully serve each different quantity of quests at an event. Use this chart, as a guideline to determine how many bottles of frozen drink mix will be required. Each bottle that makes 5 gallons will serve 80 - 8 oz. drinks and each bottle that makes 3 gallons will serve 48 - 8 oz. drinks. There is about a 10% expansion factor when the drinks are frozen. This expansion compensates for spillage and waste. It is important to have the proper quantity of drinks pre-sold, frozen, and pre-chilled to ensure that the job is completed as efficiently as possible.

How long does it take for each batch to freeze?

You should allow at least 1 hour prior to the start of the event for the first batch to freeze.  Remember that if the machine is going to be used outdoors, it may take a little longer to freeze.

Do you provide alcohol for the mixes?

We do not provide the alcohol, however upon the completion of the planning information for your event, we will tell you exactly what kind of alcohol is needed and the amount as well.  It remains the customer’s responsibility to use our equipment in a responsible manner, protect against drunk driving and prevent underage drinking.

Do you have to mix the drinks with alcohol?

Absolutely Not!  All our fruit flavors, kid’s flavors, and cappuccinos taste great without alcohol.  We even have neutral mixes that can be used as "snowcones - slushes" to add more variety to your party.  We only recommend strawberry daiquiri and pina colada (bar mixes) for use without alcohol.  The remaining bar mixes, such as the margarita mixes, rum runners, etc. require alcohol for proper taste.  The strawberry daiquiri and pina colada mixes are easily our most popular flavors because they taste great either way.

How much time do you need for a reservation?

We recommend a minimum of two weeks notice, particularly for weekend rentals and holidays. We will make every effort to accommodate short notice, but we strongly suggest getting reservations in as soon as possible. There are instances when we can do same day deliveries with no advance notice, but waiting too long to make your reservation could leave you with no machine. Special events, holidays and multiple day rentals may require a $50 non-refundable deposit, and we reserve the right to charge a deposit for any reservation should we deem necessary.

When will the machine be picked up?

Once the machine is delivered, we will coordinate a time to pick up the machine that is most convenient for you.  Generally all pick ups will be made between 8:00am and 2:00pm on Saturdays (for Friday night parties) and 11:00am to 3pm on Sundays (for Saturday night parties). If we arrive at the specified pick up time and nobody is there within 15 minutes, you may be assessed a $20 late fee/return trip fee.

If I run out of mix, can I use a mix that I already have at home?

NO. Our mixes are formulated specifically for our machines, and deviating from proper recipes can cause mix not to freeze or freeze solid, causing damage to the machine and delaying you from enjoying our delicious drinks.  The freezing process is based on proper adjustment of the machine and precise sugar content in the mix. PLEASE DON’T MESS WITH PERFECTION!

What do I need when you deliver the machine?

When we deliver the machine, we will need a space cleared for the machine and cart near a 110 circuit with 15 amps.  This means NOTHING else should be on this circuit or the machine WILL NOT WORK.  No extension cords are allowed with our frozen drink machines.  If alcohol is required for your event, it must also be available once we arrive with the machine.  We will need to speak with someone who is willing to take responsibility for the machine for the duration of the event.  Operating instructions will be left with the machine along with our cell number which will remain on throughout the duration of the event.

How far are you willing to travel for our upcoming event?

We are willing to travel ___________ away. You can pretty much fill in the blank.  A small delivery fee may be accessed for events more than 25 miles away.
